Michael Jackson visits Victoria Falls

Pop-singer Michael Jackson visited Zimbabwe this week to meet with President Robert Mugabe and discuss investment possibilities, according to the Associated Press. Jackson arrived Monday as a guest of Zimbabwe Defense Industries with a group from the U.S.-based United Pacific Holdings Group, in which he reportedly has a financial interest. According to Mugabe, he and Jackson discussed investment ideas for a hotel development in Victoria Falls, one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. There was no advance publicity for Jackson's visit, and the singer refused to speak to reporters. Hundreds of screaming fans mobbed the singer's hotel when word of his arrival spread, and a few were rewarded with autographs.
